A change of pace

There was a time, a while back, that I made jewelry.  I did very well selling it too.  And then everyone and their brother started selling it and it became , well, not so fun anymore.  I still make things for people who ask, for gifts, for myself, and especially still make rosaries.  So, today I guess I channeled a little of the old jewelry me.  I have been wanting to make these for a while and I am really pleased with the results.
The necklace is long and 2 tiered.
I made the heart using TH Grungeboard that I inked, covered with music sheet and reinked, and finally added the glaze on top of it all.  The little vial is also TH and is filled with 7 pearls and a tiny sterling heart (there are 7 people in my family!).  I am sooooo loving how this one turned out.  I bet I will wear it a bunch!
This necklace is long as well, but not as long as the other one.  I originally bought the bling for a scrapbook but didn't like it when I put it on.  Sooooo, a necklace it is!  I added the pearls and the little bow for some girly girlness.  Now I have to pick between the two!

I have also been working on a project for a gift.  It is a gift card exchange but apparently it is more about what the gc is in than what the gc is.  I really, really love the Bo Bunny Snowfall papers.  I have been hoarding them actually.  Finally cut them!!!!!  I don't want to give away what I am doing for the exchange but here is a sneak peak:

Lots of yumminess going on here!

I will post pics of the final project on Friday morning.  I love it so far..........

  1. Hi Terri!

I found your blog via Pinterest where someone pinned that gorgeous heart/pearls in a bottle necklace that you made! You should make & sell jewelery on Etsy - I'd buy it! I LOVE that necklace (I really love how you put 7 pearls to represent your family) - I want one, or I want to make one... Is it silly that I don't know what TH Grungeboard is? (blushes) I feel like I should know... Would you share where you got your supplies - I really, really want to recreate my own!
Thanks so much! You now have a new blog fan!

    Hugs,
